1. The Birth of Lord Krishna and escape from the prison of Kansa
Story- Lord Krishna was born in a prison cell in Mathura. The evil king Kansa has put Lord Krishna’s parents, father Vasudeva and mother Devaki in prison as he feared that Devaki’s 8th son would be the reason for his defeat. After Krishna's birth, the prison doors opened and Vasudeva was able to shift the baby Krishna to Gokul to keep him safe.
Moral- No matter how strong evil becomes, good will always overcome evil.
2. Krishna and the Poisoned Yamun
The ferocious snake Kaliya had poisoned the river of Yamuna. To teach him the lesson, Lord Krishna jumped into the Yamuna river. He fought with Kakiya and did a cosmic dance on Kaliya’s head. Kaliya accepted his mistake and left the Yamuna River forever, making it suitable for the use of all the villagers.
Moral- Always be brave to face any challenge.
3. Krishna Steals Butter ( Makhan chor)
Story- Lord Krishna as a child, was mischievous and naughty. Krishna loves eating homemade butter so, he used to sneak inside the villager's houses and also to his own house to steal butter. Krishna and his friends stole butter from the butter pots and ate them with delight.
Moral - Innocence and joy and spread love and happiness. The cute acts of Lord Krishna made him the favourite of Gokul and Vrindavan and everybody loved Lord Krishna.
4. Krishna showed the entire universe to his mother Yasoda
Story- One day, baby Krishna was playing with mud. While playing he ate some mud when Mother Yasoda came to know about it, she got angry and asked Krishna to open his mouth. Baby Krishna smiled and opened his mouth. To her astonishment, Mother Yasosa saw the entire universe in Krishna's mouth! That day, Mother Yasosa understood that her baby was not an ordinary boy but god himself.
Moral - God is the creator of the universe. Everything is in god and god is in everything.
5. Krishna lifts Mount Govardhan
Story- Once, Krishna saw the villagers of Vrindavan preparing to worship Lord Indra, the god of rains. Lord Krishna suggested then that they should workship Mount Govardhan instead of Lord Indra. This made Lord Indra very angry and he started pouring heavy rain. Lord Krishna lifted Mount Govardhan on his little finger and saved the villagers.
Moral- we should be humble and not arrogant.
6. Krishna and bull demon Aristhasura
Story- As a child, Krishna defeated many demons. One of them was the bull demon Aristhasura. Aristhasura was sent by Kansa to defeat Krishna. When Aristhasura arrived at Gokul, he started destroying the houses of the villagers. The villagers prayed to god to save them. Lord Krishna appeared in front of Aristhasura and fought with it resulting in Aristhasura’s defeat.
Moral - we should always have faith and trust in God.
7. Krishna saves his friends from the demon Vatsasura
Story- Once, the demon Vatsasura, took the form of a calf. The demon attacked Krishna’s friends. Krishna came and saved his friends from the attack of Vatsasura.
Moral – A true friend will always always guide and protect us from bad things.
8. Krishna and the Gopis
Story- During his childhood, Krishna used to steal butter pots from the milkmaids (Gopis). When the gopis scolded him, he showed his cute smile and charm to make them forgive him.
Moral – if we make any mistake we should always ask for forgiveness. Accepting one's mistake and correcting it helps us develop a good personality.
9. The story of Lord Krishna and the defeat of Kansa
Story- When Krishna grew up, he and his elder brother went to Mathura. Kansa, the king of Mathura sent two best of his wrestlers to fight with Lord Krishna and Balarama. Lord Krishna and Balama defeated the wrestlers and then Krishna and Kansa fought. In the end, Krishna defeated Kansa.

10. Lord Krishna and his friend Sudama
Story- Sudama was a poor friend of Krishna. After Krishna grew up, he became the king of Dwarka but Sudama had no money to feed his children. One day, Sudama’s wife suggested he meet Krishna and ask for some help. Sudama went to meet Krishna but could not ask for any help. When he came back he saw his small hut had changed into a beautiful palace and his wife and children had enough food and clothes.
