Questions often asked

What is LY – Stories That Shape all about?

It’s a values-based storytelling program rooted in Indian culture, heritage, and spirituality. Through engaging stories of gods, saints, kings, queens, and leaders, children build strong inner character, emotional intelligence, and moral clarity.

Is it a religious or spiritual program?

It draws from Hindu philosophy and tradition, along with a few stories from Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. But the focus is on universal values like courage, truth, compassion, gratitude, and self-belief—shared through culturally rooted stories, not religious preaching.

Is the program only about Krishna?

No. While Krishna features in many stories (especially in Juniors), the program includes a wide range of figures—Rama, Hanuman, saints like Mirabai and Sant Eknath, queens like Rani Laxmibai, and thinkers like Chanakya, etc.

What’s the difference between Juniors and Seniors?

• Juniors (Ages 4–8): Stories are simpler, interactive, engaging, and immersive, and focus on empathy, calm, and basic values. • Seniors (Ages 9–14): Stories are layered, thought-provoking, and allow space for discussion, debate, and deeper introspection.

How often are the sessions held?

Twice a week. Each session is 45 minutes.

Is this a course with exams and marks?

No. There are no exams or marks. The focus is on inner growth. Reflection happens through fun, creative journaling and guided tasks.

Are parents expected to support children outside of class?

Not necessarily. But we do encourage parents to listen and discuss what children are learning to reinforce the values at home.

What will my child learn from this course?

Children will: • Understand right from wrong • Learn to express emotions calmly • Develop empathy and kindness • Strengthen self-confidence and resilience • Reflect on real-life situations with values-based clarity • Appreciate Indian culture and inner strengths

What is the journaling component? How does it help?

Each session is followed by guided journaling: • Juniors (4–8): Understanding emotions, simple questions, building self-awareness, and creative expression. • Seniors (9–14): Reflective writing, creative tasks, decision-making. It boosts self-awareness, emotional processing, and inner growth.

How do you ensure the child remains engaged?

We use: • Time-travel adventures (for Juniors) • Interactive Q&A • Roleplay and creative tasks • Immersive storytelling and relatable characters
