But one miraculous day, he gets a golden ticket inside a chocolate bar while looking through litter and since the day everything changes for him. The book delivers significant lessons about greed, morals and true definition of being joyful. 

2. HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE (J.K. ROWLING)

Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone is an outstanding book for children as it’s enchanting, mysterious and filled with interesting characters. The book is about a young wizard named Harry Potter who magically finds out that he’s a famous wizard and that he’ll be going to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry this year. While on his magical journey he finds his lifelong friends Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger. The book is all about overcoming challenges and revealing the hidden. 

3. ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER (MARK TWAIN)

This classic novel has stood the test of time. It tells the readers about Tom’s adventures with his friends in St. Petersburg, Missouri. 

The adventures covered the traditional lives of these boys as they spent their childhood along the river playing pirates, enjoying fishing , involving into fights and escaping from school to go swimming or leisure around.

The moral of the book is about strong friendships, faithfulness and truth. With all the great characters in this book, one can laugh out loud at one point and shed tears  out of despair the next.

Anne of Green Gables is  a classic novel written for all ages. It describes the tale of a red-headed 11-year-old orphan girl Anne Shirley who was adopted by elderly sibling duo- Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert who stays on a farm called Green Gables in Canada. Anne is an imaginative and high-spirited girl who is bold enough to always speak her mind out. She adds astonishing adventures into the duo’s simple lives with her peculiarity and imagination. 6. THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA- THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (C.S. LEWIS)

Four siblings transfer through a wardrobe into the world of Narnia- a land of mythical creatures that is ruled by an evil white witch. The witch has cursed Narnia for eternal winter. Eventually the children help Aslan, a mystical lion who also happens to be the leader of Narnia, beat the witch. 

The book enlightens the readers about how good always wins over evil. 

7. A LITTLE PRINCESS (FRANCES BRUNETT)

This classic novel describes the story of a young girl Sara Crewe who has been transferred to a boarding school in London. In spite experiencing misery and ill-treatment, Sara continues to stay kind-hearted and patient. It’s a touching tale of perseverance and resilience.

8. MATILDA (ROALD DAHL)

This popular story tells about a girl named Matilda Wormwood, who is a gifted child with unpleasant parents. Her extraordinary abilities are neglected by her careless family who treat her horribly. The book focuses on Matilda’s journey as she uses her intelligence and recently found power of levitation  to overcome adversity and save her innocent teacher Miss. Honey. This hilarious book is a light read and loved by many children.

Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author and poet and was popularly known for his fairy tales. His novels were authentically written.
