The Gita is one of the most beautiful introductions we can make to a child’s life. It is a guidebook filled with lessons on courage, clarity and finding your inner strength. Every child deserves to be introduced to the world of the teachings of the Gita. Here is an 8-week lesson plan to introduce your child to the wisdom of the Gita.
Look at it like 8 tiny seeds to plan each week until it turns into a habit or routine.
Week 1:
Gita Reference: “Karmanye Vadhikaraste”
You can control your effort but not the outcome.
Theme: Courage- Do your best and leave the rest
Daily Reminder: Be brave. Try your best. Don’t worry if things don’t go perfectly.
Activity: Take a jar and make some chits. Ak your child to write one thing they fear in the chits and put them into the jar. Every day talk about one of those fears in the chits.
Touch upon
What fear means and why we have them.
What small actions can we take to overcome it?
