“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend”. – Theophrastus, the philosopher.
Theophrastus believed that every moment is an important moment of our life that should be spent wisely. What a beautiful statement that we must all believe, making us think that every minute and second is precious.
One of the hardest things we can give a person is our time. Time is a beautiful feeling when we give our time to our loved ones especially when they need us. It makes the world brighter, living it one moment of our life just to spread kindness around. Little moments of our life are worth cherishing and remembering because life is a mystery. You never know when the person will leave the earth.
We all agree that our life is full of ups and downs. We cannot expect anything. We need to understand the situation when an opportunity arises. That's when we need to understand time is of the essence. Every second counts
Think of life this way, every moment won't rewind itself. And there's a chance it won't come again. We often say to others, around “Let's do this later” or “I'll do it later”. But know that there is no coming back when you say later or tomorrow because it will never come again. We have to make time for others or rather make every second count. It's the ‘right now’ moment that allows us to think more about the situation.
Benjamin Franklin, the founding father of the US once said that lost time is never found again which is so valid. Time is a gift but somehow it's sad to see how it can be ignored of the importance of it especially when it's a busy life. So the Big question is are we making every second and moment count?
One needs to understand the value of time as if it's an opportunity, something worth fighting for. Here we begin to experience growth, learn new things, and simultaneously develop within ourselves. Never forgetting making memories and seconds count. When we experience this, we appreciate the significance of time and that's when we become mindful of all the things we have achieved to get by.
We live in a world full of distraction and yet as humane as possibly we can be, it's normal to be that way. But when opportunities arise, we must be focused and mindful to prepare our way to be wiser.
Let's look at a few ways we can manage our time to make every second count:
List down your most important tasks first and then the least important ones last. That way you would recognize what truly matters to you most. This will make you learn your priorities more.
Break your days into different times and align them with specific tasks to be done. This will help you to be more organized and feel motivated.
Procrastination is a killer of time. To avoid it we have to learn to break our time into smaller portions and that way it will be less challenging and simple to handle.
In a technology-filled world, social media has intruded into our lives. We need to minimise this with certain tools like blocking distracting apps, putting our phone on silent and so many more to avoid this which helps us to focus on our time.
Take breaks to allow time for yourself and your thoughts. This will make your mind feel more relaxed and free. Not only that it will also help you recharge and return to the back to the tasks.
Our life is filled with purpose and meaning to make life worth living. Let's make this count. When you prioritize your time, you choose wisely. This matters and makes us understand our goals. Imagine the difference we could make if we learned to align them together. If done right, we could achieve the impossible. So let's value our time and our lives. Depend on it because our time is a gift from God that can make a difference to you and the rest of the world.
So let us remember this and promise ourselves that time is worth cherishing and sharing.
